The senior one Link Modules class recently welcomed Brona Mackin from Carlingford Lough Ferry into the class to talk about the local enterprise. The company began operation on June 21st, 2017. It operates a continuous car ferry service across Carlingford Lough linking the village of Greenore, Co. Louth to the town land of Greencastle, Co. Down. Brona explained to the students the importance of the ferry for tourism and business as well as being an important part to many people’s day trip itinerary. The crossing takes 15 – 20 minutes and caters for all types of vehicles, foot passengers and cyclists. Brona answered the student’s questions relating to Brexit and the effect of a hard border on the business. The visit in was informative and enjoyed by everyone.
