Evening Study 2018-19

11th September 2018

Dear Parent/Guardian,

We are offering your son/daughter the opportunity to take part in our after school Homework Club.  The Club runs from 4pm to 5.25pm Monday/Tuesday and 3.25pm to 5.25pm Wednesday/Thursday during each school term. Each centre will be supervised at all times by a teacher. All year groups are eligible to attend and this is an invaluable opportunity for your son/daughter to keep on top of their workload.  Places in Homework Club are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis, however, priority will be given to the Junior Cert and Leaving Cert students.

The cost of study is €2.50 per day Monday/Tuesday (1.5 hours) and €3 Wednesday/Thursday    (2 hours) per day.  This term will run from 17th September to 20th December 2019 inclusive.  Each student will receive a snack and refreshment before each study session begins.

Study will not take place on the following dates:

  • Wednesday 19th September CPD
  • Thursday 4th October CPD
  • Monday 15th October 2nd Year PTM
  • Thursday 8th November Open Night
  • Tuesday 4th December Senior 2 PTM
  • Tuesday 11th December 3rd Year PTM
  • Monday 17th December Staff Meeting

We endeavour to make this facility as effective as possible, giving all students the opportunity to benefit from a calm working environment.  The school Code of Behaviour applies at all times and failure to comply will result in removal from Homework Club.  The school diary will be used as a form of communication between supervisors and home.

Finally it is essential that students are collected from Homework Club on time, as the school will close at 5.30pm sharp.  Any questions please do not hesitate to contact me through the school office.

Kind Regards,
