Transtition Year and LCA students visited DkIT last week for a career investigation. TY and LCA students gained a lot from the trip. They received a campus visit of DkIT and saw first-hand the Engineering, Nursing and Hospitality Department. They also had a tour of DkIT gym and Sporting Department and were kindly allowed an opportunity to play on the all-weather pitches free of charge.  

It was especially beneficial to meet past students Naoise McCann, Declan Cavanagh, James McDonald, Scott Bates and PJ Halpenny. They shared their experience of life in DkIT with our students and really sold third level to them. We were also greeted by Sharon Tuohy and Siobhan Nash, parents of our students, and we feel these meetings allowed students realise that third level is not as daunting as they might expect.
