Transition Year students had a visit from representatives from the Revenue on Monday 14th of October. Students learned the steps involved in setting up their revenue accounts and how to register when they begin their first job. A group of fifth and sixth-year students visited Southern Regional College on Tuesday 8th October 2024. There they heard about traineeship and apprenticeship opportunities available at the College. Students showed huge interest in electrical, plumbing, tiling, mechanical and hairdressing apprenticeships which open for applications on February 1st, 2025. Well done to our students on their excellent research
Well done to JP McKeown, David McMahon, Adam Brady and Nathan Johnson who represented the school so well at the Rotary School Youth Leadership Competition. Local Rotarians , PJ Roddy and Stephen Gunne interviewed students for close to two hours and were extremely impressed by the four students and their leadership experience to date.

It is with deep sadness that we must share the news that our dear colleague, Niki Heatley, has passed away after a very short illness. Niki, a member of the School Secretarial team here at Bush Post Primary School was a much loved, respected and valued member and we are deeply saddened at her passing.

TY students organised a Purple Run Fundraiser to help support Down Syndrome Ireland. This event aimed to raise awareness and funds through a fun walk/run where participants wear purple to show solidarity. €250 was raised and all proceeds were donated to Down Syndrome Ireland to support individuals with Down syndrome.
