LCA5 Trip to Southern Regional College

The LCA5 class visited Southern Regional College in Newry on Thursday 12th of April. The students enjoyed a careers talk about all of the options available to them and then had a tour of both the west and east campus. The students are currently completing career investigations and they got a great insight into some of the courses they are interested in doing after 6th year. Afterwards, they went to the cinema as part of a key assignment of their English and Communications class. A great day was had by all!

Student Enterprise Awards Competition, Tuesday March 13th, 2018

This year four mini companies represented Bush Post Primary School at the Student Enterprise Awards Competition held on March 13th in the Carrickdale Hotel.  This competition is an exciting and rewarding experience for our students, creating a culture where students think more readily of becoming entrepreneurs and setting up their own business in the future.

Congratulations to the four mini companies - Cutting Edge, All Year Round, LNS Gloves and Capture - who worked so hard on their display stand, business plan and interview skills over the past few months.

Products ranged from high quality handmade wooden chopping boards, handmade decorated wreaths for all occasions, personalised gloves to personalised pictures using bottle caps in 3D frames.

Well done to ‘All Year Round’ - Jake McLaughlin, Katie Carville, Shauna Lavery, Rebecca Shields, Lorna Keenan and Sofia Challoner, Bush winners of the Best Sales award 2018 in the Louth Student Enterprise Competition.
