On September 11th the entire school body gathered in the gym for our annual awards ceremony. This is an opportunity to recognise the effort and diligence our students put into excelling in all areas of school life.

In total we had over 190 awards handed out on the day. We had winners in every year group and subject area. We invited back our Leaving Certificate students who had excelled in the state exams and presented them in each subject.

We wanted to honour the students who make our school a better place to be, and we awarded Best Young Citizen awards to 50 pupils. This award shines a light on the importance of citizenship and community.

These awards are a very important element of recognising the effort and graft that students put in daily and it’s a pleasure to watch the smile on their faces when this effort is rewarded.

On the morning, we presented 23 students with a ‘Star Participant’ award, this is recognising students from all year groups who have had 100% attendance over the school year.

Mr Joyce presented Student of the Year to Seán Thornton in recognition of his exceptional Leaving Certificate results and his exemplary role as Head Boy 2024/25.  Mr Joyce also presented Noah Kirwan with the Feabhas award.  Mrs Gartland presented Aoibhe Hanratty with Transition Year student of the year.

Another wonderful success in our school calendar!
